Synopsis: A prophecy from the god Mauser stated that of the twins born to the king and queen of Leinwain, the girl would bring about destruction to the kingdom and would need to be killed for the good of the land. The man sent to hurl the infant into a cliff, however, was weighted by his conscience and unable to perform the task. Now 15 years later, Pacifica the so-called "scrapped princess" travels with her adopted siblings Raquel, Casull, and Shannon, who stay reverently by her side, promising to protect her against all attackers who wish her dead out of fear of the prophecy. Pacifica struggles with self-doubt and her seeming inability to protect herself along with the burden of being such a reviled symbol for the place of her birth.
